The residents in Pinckard have a pretty good median family income, over $41,000 per year and over 75 percent of the houses and apartments are occupied by the owners with low residential property taxes. Sounds like a good place to live. Although the closing of the railroad depot that once brought life to this area some 111 years ago; the city is now seeing an event which will put this city on the map. A new, recently completed grain receiving facility has the capacity to hold 700,000 bushels of corn and 2,175 tons of soybean meal. A new rail line, built off the main CSX line, will allow 90 unit cars of corn and 20 unit cars of soybean meal to be unloaded at one time and the facility will the loading of grain trucks at the rate of 150 tons per hour. . the new facility, which will be capable of receiving grain in rail cars or trucks. The facility will be used to store grain for delivery to the Pilgrim’s Pride feed manufacturing facility in Enterprise, and
