To cool off in the summer, make a visit to Sequoyah Caverns. The caverns are known for its reflecting pools and located in a wooded landscape with many scenic walking and hiking trails. To see what life was like in the 1800's make sure you see the Ellis Homestead located at the site. Kids can mine for gems and there are plenty of animals on the farmstead. In addition, for visitors from around the state and elsewhere, there is a a campground whose amenities include a swimming pool, hot showers, and laundry facility.
