Village Creek State park lies just to the East of Wynne and along Crowley’s Ridge. It's a wonderful place to spend a day or you might to contemplate staying here overnight. Its close to 7,000 acres hold fully equipped cabins, a championship golf course, pavilions, playgrounds, baseball and multi-use fields, a driving range, a visitor center with audio visual theater, store, a bicycle rental facility, hiking and horseback riding trails. For boaters or those who want to spend time on the water there is a boat dock, launch ramp, electric motors and pedal boats on Lake Dunn and a lake swimming area. Anglers will probably enjoy some time at Lake Austell and Lake Dunn. At these lake sites they can get bait and fishing boats. The lakes are stocked with bass, bream, crappie and channel catfish.
