The Russellville Depot was at one time the depot for the Missouri-Pacific railroad. It has been renovated and is now used by the Main Street Russellville organization to stage community events such as the Taste of the Valley Fest and the Downtown Fall Fest Chili Cookoff. The Taste of the Valley is a tasting party with an assortment of food and drink provided by River Valley restaurants, caterers, vineyards, and food service institutions. Attendees are also treated to a night of Live musical entertainment performed by local musicians. The Fall Fest and Chili Cookoff is held each year on the last Saturday of October. You can start the day at this event with an Omelette breakfast. You can treat yourself to more great foods from the Chili Cookoff, Pie contest and various items from the Farmers Market and Bake Sale. This event also offers an Antique car show, Arts and Crafts vendors, Canine Capers Dog show, games, rides and live entertainment all day long. The city of Russellvlle has over 12 parks for its residents plus a skateboarding park and radio controlled airplane and car park. One of the parks is equipped with an 18 hole disc golf course and another is the site of the city's municipal swimming pool.
