Dardanelle District Court is the district court for the Northern District of Yell county. It hears cases for traffic infractions throughout the Northern district of Yell county which generally refers to the area of the county to the East of a Northeast-Southwest line through Danville.

About the area

Dardanelle is located on the shores of the Arkansas River. It was one of the river ports where early settlers to the region disembarked to start a new life. The annual Yell Fest is held at the beginning of May at Veteran's River Front park. Things happening at this event include a carnival, 5K run, craft booths, food booths, an antique car show, ugly dog contest, fireworks, horseshoe tournament, rock wall, local musical entertainment and where would the festival be without a yelling contest.
