Daytona Beach Circuit Court hears the felonies, while Daytona Beach County Court (257-6084) hears the misdemeanors and other minor offenses. It seems like more criminal cases are heard at this facility, but we think some are still heard at the other Daytona Beach location.

About the area

Daytona Beach was founded in about 30 years before 1900 by a guy named Day. It is the home of the Daytona International Speedway which hosts the Daytona 500 stock car race in February of each year - where Richard Petty used to shine. The speedway draws race car drivers from around the world and as many as 200,000 fans. the annual Bike Week and Biketoberfest events attract several thousand bikers from around the world. The beaches also used to be a popular Spring Break location, though we're not sure if that's still as hot.
