About the area

The aviation industry contibutes significantly to the employment of Belle Plaine's citizens. Each Spring a Tulip Time Festival is held in this city accompanied by the planting of tulips throughout the community. The festival includes arboretum tours, athletic competitions, a parade, arts and crafts, fun food, and live entertainment. There is also a carnival, street dances and a car show. Everyone looks forward to winning one of the Tulip Time Button prizes.
