Benton Circuit Court is the circuit court of Scott County in the Thirty-Third Judicial Circuit of the Missouri Circuit court system. Hearings for city ordinance and traffic violations for the cities of Benton (US 61 and SR 75), Commerce (SR E), Kelso (US 61 and SR PP), Morley (US 61 and SR 91) and Oran (SR W and SR 77) are held in this court.

| About the area |
Founded around 1822, the city gets its name from Thomas Hart Benton, Missouri's first U.S. Senator. Benton is located in the Southeastern part of General Watkins Conservation area. This park covers over 1,000 acres and mainly consists of forest with sweetgum, American beech, cucumber tree, tulip poplar white and red oak, maple, hickory and walnut among the species found here. The park also contains wildlife food plots, native warm season grass fields and old fields in addition to facilities such as a camping area, a picnic area and fishable lakes and ponds. For some scary Halloween sights visit the Benton Chamber of Commerce Basement of Horror in the Benton Chamber building during the last two weekends in October.
