Railroad tracks that used to run through the city were relocated through the generosity of local residents and businesses. The Kitty Bryan Dill Memorial Parkway was created on the trailway, running for approximately 3 3/4 miles through town. The parkway connects 5 local parks each of which has lighted walkways, open areas, landscaped grounds with plantings and native hardwood trees. The parks also have picnic areas, gazebos, arbors, and a windmill. One of these parks, the Sally Kate Winters Park which sits at the edge of the downtown area, has fountains, an old fashioned bandstand, a playground for children, a romantic gazebo, and an "Arbor of Memories" featuring bricks purchased in memory of loved ones.
