There are two good musums to visit in West Point.The restored home which now is the Friday House a museum with several exhibits displaying items from West Point history, a Howlin' Wolf room with Blues memorabilia and an exhibit for the Payne Field World War I pilot training base. The Sam Wilhite Transportation Museum Exhibits are designed to take you through the evolution of West Point transportation corridors from Native American trails to today’s highway system. It is located in the original building that housed the Columbus and Greenville Railroad ticket office and boarding areas. working telegraphs, Visitors can see the displays of railroad clocks and historic telephones, a 1927 Model T Ford car, which was adapted to travel along the rairoad and an extensive working model of the local railroad systems
