Red Lodge Justice Court, which is in Montana's Twenty-Second judicial district, handles violations of civic ordinances and traffic regulations in Carbon county except those occurring within the city limits of Bridger, Fromberg, Joliet and Red Lodge. US 212 and US 310 move down through Carbon county. Other major roads in the county are SR 72, Sr 78 and SR 308.

The Yellowstone Wildlife sanctuary in Red Lodge is where you can see bears, wolves, bison, elk, cougars, lynx, bobcat, coyotes and other Yellowstone animals most of which cannot return to the wild due to injury or human imprinting. Try to catch a performance of the Alte Kameraden band in one of their outdoor concerrts Saturdays in good weather. They play everything from Oktoberfest style German festival music and pieces from the original "Buffalo Bill Wild West Show" to Italian and Swiss alpine band music, Finnish and Finnish-American music and turn-of-the-century, American band music.
