Cascade City Court

Cascade Court is located in the Eighth judicial district of Montana. SR 8 runs through the city of Cascade and meets IS 15, which runs through the Western part of town, at both the North and South ends of town.

The city of Cascade is located at the at the mouth of the Missouri River Canyon. Throughout its early history this town had several names. A small town, called Mayflower, developed at the ferry on the East side of the Missouri river. A new store was opened in this settlement around 1879 which a short time later was called Ulidia. around 1885 the town took on the name Gorham. and four years later became St. Clair. When the Montana Central railroad started laying track on the West side of the river around 1886, a new settlement called Dodge was formed, but with the railroad completion one year later, the town became Cascade. With the increased activity on the West side of the river; businesses and homes, in what had been St. Clair, soon moved to this new town. With camping, playground, swimming pool and tennis courts at Atkinson park and two other large parks for family picnics and recreation; the town offers its residents plenty for outside activities. The Missouri river running through town provides fishermen with opportunities to catch Rainbow and Brown Trout.
