South of where Routes 443 & 146 meet, is the hamlet of Gallupville, and the Gallupville House, formerly a hotel, tavern, community center - and now the town court house. Nota Bene: The Town of Wright Court has MOVED (as of April 2006) to the 1st floor of the Gallupville House. Small town, big building. This is one of the least busy courts you will ever see. The judges are quite pleasant.

The Town of Wright borders both Albany and Schenectady counties. Route 146 ends here, and Route 443 runs through the town. 146 goes east/north through Guilderland, Rotterdam, Schenectady and into Clifton Park. Route 443 goes west to Schoharie and east through Berne and Bethlehem right into downtown Albany. Wright could become the next frontier of residential development for the Albany area, considering that road access, but infrastructure may not be up to snuff yet.
