McMinnville is one of the larger cities in Oregon with a population of over 30,000 people and covering just under 10 square miles. While you are downtown look for the statue of Ben Franklin who might share some of his thoughts with you. Linfield College, established in the middle of the 19th century by a Baptist minister, is located in the Southern end of the city. The school offers programs leading to the Bachelor's degree in Art Studies, Business and Management, Compter Science and Engineering, Liberal Arts, Mathematics and Music as well as other subjects. The McMinnville Municipal airport is located several miles East of the city. The airport covers a site of over 650 acres; with a lighted instrument landing system runway over 5400 feet long and can handle corporate jet aircraft.
