Some of the settlers who moved to the East side of the Blacksmith Fort river to remain safe in the event of an Indian attack around 1860; moved back to the West side of the river when the threat was reduced. Both areas were known as the Millville ward. Around 1920 was divided and the West side of the river became Nibley ward to become the Nibley precinct around 1925 and subsequently be incorporated in 1935. The city has a community center and park equipped with pavilions as well as a new Sunrise Meadows Disc Golf course. The Heritage Days festival is held in mid June and includes a concert and music in Heritage park.
