This court is situated near State Road 305. The court has jurisdiction over a number of different types of cases. The Bainbridge Island Police Department and the City Prosecutor file criminal charges, both traffic and non-traffic.

About the area |
Bainbridge Island was first discovered in 1792. In 1841 an explorer for the United States Government named the Island for an American naval hero in the War of 1812. The Donation Land Claim Law in 1850 granted 640 acres to a married man, and 320 acres to a single man drawing settlers to the area.
Bainbridge Island has a population of 20,000 occupying 36-square miles who enjoy convenient access to Seattle via a scenic 35-minute ferry ride. Its known for its lively artistic community, Bainbridge Island has its own Performing Arts Center and arts & crafts galleries featuring local and regional artists.
