Anacortes is the destination point for the San Juans and International ferry runs for Washington State.
As a result Washington state's largest fishing fleet berths here. Whale watching tours, kayaking excursions, sailing and other boating is available at this port. The city has a new library. A swimming pool and fitness center, senior center, Boys and Girls club, skate park, sports fields and a youth sailing program provide plenty of recreational activities for all ages. Deception Pass at the southern end of Fidalgo Island and the bridge over it offer a great opportunity for photographers. |
