About the area

Blennerhassett Museum on the mainland at Parkersburg and Blennerhassett Island on the Ohio River are a part of the Blennerhassett Island Historical State park. Blennerhassett Mansion is on the island and is open to the public from May through October. You might get a kick out of riding the sternwheeler from Point park to the island. The park recently reopened is the site of a summer music weekend early in July.
