Parkersburg now has a skateboard park topping out at 10,000 square feet. So come on kids and and even adults who like to ride on these gadgets, come on down. For more exercise you can get to the new Little Kanawha Connector trail. Saved from demolition by a volunteer group, the historic Smoot theater This same group spent untold hours cleaning the theater to bring it back to its original beauty. The theater is once again the site of live entertainment with presentations such as jazz, big band, country, bluegrass, rock and folk music and children’s theatre, comedy, dance, lectures and one-man shows.
