Gadsden Courthouse

Some really good roads run through Gadsden. US 411 runs along the banks of the Coosa river and meets with IS 759, which crosses the Coosa river and Lake Black creek in the Southern part of the city. US 278 and US 431, crossing the Coosa river as well, run through the Eastern and Western parts of the city. SR 291 and 759 are in the Eastern half of the city and IS 59, connecting with IS 759, runs along the Western edge of the city. Of course plenty of places to get caught speeding.

The Gadsden Sports Complex is a really huge facilty. The complex includes a softball/baseball complex consisting of several fields , a tennis center with twelve courts, a combination football/soccer field, a one-mile lighted walking track, a sports coliseum and high school baseball fields. As a result it hosted local and state level competitions in softball, baseball, tennis, soccer, football and basketball. The Gadsden Museum of Art displays works of Southern art and artists and as well as works from its extensive permanent collection of paintings, sculptures, and prints. The museum also hosts a series of changing exhibits featuring the works of local and regional artists. There are also exhibits of artifacts, antique properties, furniture, photographs, decorative arts, and items of historical significance of the Gadsden and Etowah County area.
