| About the area |
Albertville was a well established city at the beginning of the 20th century when it was devastated by a hurricane in the spring of 1908. But these are hearty people here and they rebuilt the city with the help of neighboring communities. This is a large city with over 20,000 residents. Albertville high started as an agricultural college established by the Alabama Legislature in the early 1890's. The high school is housed in a new building which was damaged in the hurricane of 2010. The students are known as Aggies because of the school's background. |
