| About the area |
Cammack Village is a small legally incorporated community along the Arkansas river with a population under 800 and surrounded entirely by the city of Little Rock. It was established by the federal government as a site for federally subsidized housing in the early 1940's when the owner of the land tried and failed to have the area annexed by Little Rock; turning it over to the federal government. However it has become an exclusive neighborhood known for its low crime rate and high property values.
