About the area

In a city like Leavenworth, Kansas would you expect there would be a Berlin Wall monument; but sure enough there is one. It is located at Fort Leavenworth as a result of President Ronald Reagan's donation of 3 sections of the wall, from the sections he was given after the destruction of the Berlin wall. Three themes are expressed in the memorial; a position for the crumbling of the Wall, a horizontal position for the Wall’s destruction and a vertical position for the fact that democracy stands.
