US 1 runs North-South through the center of town. SR's 10, 163, 167 and 227 are the other major roads in the area. Probably the province of the gentlemen in uniform who can issue you a traffic ticket.

About the area

The Presque Isle Stream splits the city of Presque Isle in two with only the State street and Park street bridges connecting the two halves. The Northern Maine Fairgrounds is located on the Western edge of the city next to the Northern Maine Regional airport. This is the site of The Northern Maine Fair which starts at the end of July and lasts 9 days. There are rides, carnival games, horse races, truck and tractor pulls, and demolition derbies. Live animal acts and a music festival also attract many visitors to this fair. Although the fair departed from its agricultural roots; there is an effort to return to its historical roots with livestock exhibits and 4-H areas and a petting zoo for children. A member of the University of Maine System is located at Presque Isle with programs leading to the Associate degrees and Bachelor degrees.
