Visitors are invited to visit Blackburn park where they can see a Civil War replica cannon on top of Sandstone mountain and best of all, take in the breathtaking view of Meramec Valley. Under the rolling hills of the Meramec Valley, lies a complex of mineral formations and color inside the Meramec Caverns. The Meramec Valley Historical Museum is located in a former home of the Wolf family in downtown Pacific. Many papers, photos and artifacts have been donated to the museum and are on display. You are able to view such items as the counters from the Goss Bakery, items from Purina Farms, old year books, railroad items, a glass light fixture that once hung in the Citizens Bank of Pacific. The museum also has a Veterans Hall of Fame, with photos of nearly 500 local veterans from the Civil War, Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korean Conflict, Vietnam, Gulf War, Afghanistan, Iraq and Peacetime.
