About the area

The event everyone in Pelahatchie waits for is the annual Muscadine Jubilee held late in the summer. The festival celebrates the Muscadine grape used in southern wines, pies, and jellies. This event is held in the aptly named Muscadine park where celebrants assemble to enjoy the food, fun, arts and crafts and live music and to take part in the Grape Stomp. The city has a new camp resort, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park located on Pelahatchie lake. The park has full hookup RV sites and cabins. There all kinds of activities rides here; kiddie rides, a heated pool, a water park and of course all that the lake offers.
