Three Forks City Court

Three Forks Court is in the Eighteenth judicial district of Montana. SR 2 and SR 287 pass through Three Forks and IS 90 passes to the Northeast of the town.

Three tributaries of the Missouri river, the Jefferson, Madison and Gallatin, meet near this town. The Three Forks rodeo has been held in July of each year since around 1946 at the Headwaters Community fairgrounds. At the Headwaters Heritage museum, located in the Three Valleys State Bank building built around 1910, you can see an old anvil, the remains of a fur trapper's trading post, circa 1810, and a collection of barbed wire. Don't stop on the first floor; go upstairs to see an old fashioned kitchen, school room, dress and millinery shop, beauty shop, tool room, a Milwaukee Railroad station agent's office a dental office and a military room dedicated to those of this area who served our nation. The parks in this town are Milwaukee Railroad; Veteran's; Bertagnolli with a softball/baseball field, basketball court; Stevenson with a a picnic area, a tennis court, volleyball court, basketball court and wading pool; Sacajawea and Helton/Peterson with a basketball court. All the parks have Playground equipment and on the East side of Three Forks the ponds area is available for swimming, hiking, bicycling, fishing and boating. the ponds area offers room for swimming, hiking, bicycling, fishing, and boating.
