West Yellowstone Court is in Montana's Eighteenth judicial district. US 191 and US 287 come sweeping down from the North to meet US 20 in the Eastern part of West Yellowstone.

even though West Yellowstone has been known to be a gateway community to Yellowstone since the beginning of the 1900's; it was only incorporated around 1966. The city is surrounded on three sides by national forests and as a result offers many opportunities for camping, hiking and fly-fishing in the warm seasons and snowmobiling and Nordic skiing when the snow falls. The Wild West Yellowstone rodeo is held every weekend from June 15th through Labor Day a few miles West of the city. Visit the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery center and be sure to bring the kids. This is an animal sanctuary with live grizzly bears, wolves and raptors where a group of different bears from as far away as Alaska and as close as Yellowstone National park are rotated in and out of the habitat on view. The wolves have two wolf habitats at the center but can only be seen from time to time. The Playmill theatre produces a series of live theatrical shows each year. Pinecone Playhouse
