Tuxedo Traffic Court gets quite a bit of business from Route 17 and the Thruway, making it one of the most active town courts in New York State - despite a population of under 4000.
About the area
The name Tuxedo does not come from suits, but instead is a close variation on the original name for the place used by the indigenous peoples. Some say the suit name comes from here, but we will not take part in that argument.
More than a third of the land in the town is in a state park rumored to have bears in it, so watch your kids. They got some mountains here too.
Hours of Operation Office weekdays 9-3. Sessions 2x a week, mornings on Tu and evenings on Th.
Davis & Steyer, Loretta and Hume respectively
Type Of Cases Speeding tickets on the highways make Tuxedo Town Court hop.

May 02 2008 01:31:07: You can take out rumored as far as the bears go. There ARE bears and they are in every part of the Town.
Feb 05 2008 01:41:54: Just thought you'd like to know that tuxedo township has recently hired a district attorney to prosecute the cases that use to be thrown out due to no officers ever showing up. when I was there this meant instead of cases being thrown out most people accepted the plea bargain of "parking on the pavement" instead of their speeding violations
