Suffolk County Traffic Court handles most speeding tickets and other traffic violations in Suffolk County. These tickets were previously handled by the Suffolk County Traffic Violations Bureau. Effective April 1, 2013, all Suffolk County traffic tickets will be handled in the new Suffolk County Traffic and Parking Violations Agency, or SCTPVA. Forgive us, but we prefer to call it the Suffolk County Traffic Court. Since it's in Hauppauge, some may think of it as the Hauppauge Traffic Court.
Enter on the north side of the H. Lee Denison Building. Court is on the ground floor.  County legislators Rob Calarco and Kate Browning seem to be claiming credit for this new court, but we suspect others were involved.  |

| About the area |
Suffolk County is the eastern side of Long Island, and home to a diverse population of mostly rich people who escaped New York City. They may have strange accents and talk a lot about real estate prices, but we've found some very nice people.
The county has plenty of coastline. The south and east sides of the island face the Atlantic Ocean, while the north side faces Long Island Sound and Connecticut. You'd think they'd build a bridge but they can't find any area with enough poor people to ram the landing on. |
