Cottage Grove is unique; having been selected twice as an All-America City in 1968 and 2004. The number of covered bridges around the city have earned it the sobriquet of the Covered Bridge Capital of Oregon. The golfers in Cottage Grove are lucky with three courses to choose from - Middlefield Village Golf Course, along the Row River, Hidden Valley Golf course at the foot of Mount David, and Emerald Valley Golf Course, about 10 miles north of Cottage Grove in Creswell. Trout fishermen are in luck too; both trout and catfish can be found in Dorena Lake, and rainbow and cutthroat trout in Row River. |
