| About the area |
Harrisburg lies along the Willamette river. Harrisburg literally exists as a result of its survival during the flood of 1861 which washed away a competing city. The Harrisburg Area Museum has in its complex exhibits including an 1867-era house, a blacksmith shop and scale models of historic buildings.
