| About the area |
Cattle and other livestock were fed and grazed in this area before it was settled. It had several nwmes during this time; Sandridge, The Range, The Basin and the Summit. The establishment of a farm by a single family in the 1800's was the first permanent settlement in the area. Although much of the area became Clinton; an area from which several women could view the sunset over the Great Salt lake was named Sunset in the second decade of the 20th century and soon separated from Clinton. Sunset depends on Clinton for much of its recreation using their facilities.
