The Yakima Convention Center offers over 40,000 sq.ft. of space for any kind of group assembly. That's like 4000 square meters. But what's the volume? This is made up of a ballroom, a column-free carpeted meeting area and a pre-function space, whatever that means. And what did columns ever do to you? Located in downtown Yakima; Capitol Theatre, also known as Mercy Theatre or Lowe State Theatre. It seats well over a thousand Yakimanians and opened around the beginning of Prohibition. It is the home of the Yakima Symphony orchestra and considered historic. Each year the Central Washington State Fair is held at the nearby Central Washington State Fairgrounds.
