As you might well imagine the town is called Berkeley Springs, incorporated as Bath, because of the warm springs which exist here and can be enjoyed by visitors or even locals at the historic Roman Baths or at one of the five spas. No doubt the name Bath was chosen for the city of Bath, England.The second floor of the Roman Bath House in Berkeley Springs State Park built around 1815, houses the Museum of the Berkeley Springs. The museums exhibits and publications tell the story of the springs.
