Kimberly, Alabama was named after the Kimberly Diamond Mines in Africa by one of its early settlers. But no one knows why, since there are no diamonds here except on people's fingers. Nearby Hallmark Lake, a tributary of Locust Fork River, provides a site for water sports for Kimberly residents. |
