A barn-studio, where Ernest Hemingway did some of his writing in the 1930's, is a part of the Hemingway-Pfeiffer museum and educational center in Piggott. The studio was converted from a barn on their property by the parents of Hemingway's second wife, Pauline Pfeiffer. Including her parents' home the museum properties have been renovated to focus on the 1930's era. The exhibits are concentrated on the literature of the period, world events of the 1930's , agriculture and family lifestyles, family relationships and how Northeast Arkansas developed during the Depression and New Deal eras.
