Settles’ Ford Conservation area is located a short distance South of Garden City. This area is known for its deer and waterfowl and hunting of this game is permitted in the park with certain restrictions. Hunter's education clinics for youth ages 9-19 are held once a month in the fall at this area, followed by a live fire session and a mentored hunt on the last day of the session. You will be happy to know that the mentored hunt is followed by a lunch. |
