Grandview Municipal Court

You will find US 71 running right through the center of Grandview.

Grandview has a wonderful network of parks. Valley, Terrace, Freedom, Grandview Ball, John Anderson, Little Corner, Southview, Maple View, Meadowmere, River Oaks South, Belvidere, Bobcat and Shalimar combine to provide pavilions, gazebos, shelter houses, picnic areas, playgrounds, sports fields, exercise stations, trails, basketball and tennis courts, horseshoe pits and skate parks. The municipal swimming pool is located in Meadowmere park. The View Community center has among its facilities a gymnasium, walking/jogging track, rock climbing wall, lap pool, and a zero-depth pool with a lazy river, play features, and a waterslide. Around 1912, Grandview was a railroad division point and terminal for Kansas City Southern. The railroad brought many people into the town so that by the time 1929 dawned Grandview had grown considerably and today over 25,000 people call Grandview home. Around 1984, the depot was moved to Freedom Park and turned into a museum. Its exhibits include artifacts, displays, historical photographs, antiques and the authentically furnished station agent's office. A Union Pacific caboose sits next to the museum waiting to be exploredby all who want to visi.
