Hamden has a wonderful club called the Hamden Hill Ridge Riders. They are a snowmobile group that races many weekends out of the winter. The group is very serious about safety and urges all its members to wear helmets and obey safety laws. The group is based out of Hamden and many people from the area participate. The Riders are part the New York State Snowmobile Association and the Central Catskill Trail Association. They are sponsored by many area businesses and residential families. The Catskills have many snowmobile trails and these outdoor enthusiasts snowmobile throughout the winter.
