Anmoore Municipal Court

Drivers in Anmore have three major roads available to them; IS 79 which runs through the town, US 50 at the Northern end of town and SR 58 just to the West of town.

Anmoore is a relative baby among towns in West Virginia; it was incorporated around 1950. However its roots go back to an earlier time. Soon after the beginning of the twentieth century, two men purchased a tract of land close to 220 acres in size, on the town's present location, from its previous owner and had it surveyed into building lots and established a village named Grasselli. Previously the town had been known as Steelton. Men came from from Hungary, Spain, Poland and Italy to work at the Grasselli Chemical Company. As their families joined them, barracks were built to house in what was the beginnings of a town. Although Graftech Internationl Inc. took over from Union Carbide it has still remained as an important employer and source of business in this town. On October 31 of each year there is a Halloween Party at the Anmoore Fire Department which is sponsored by the Recreation Committee.
