Bridgeport Municipal Court

US 50 and SR 58 cross in the Western section of town and US 50 continues Eastward through Bridgeport. IS 79 lies just to the West and can be reached by driving West on US 50 (Main street).

Bridgeport has a new Recreation Complex complete with baseball fields, regulation size and Little League size, a multipurpose field, full-scale press box, concession stand, restrooms, one mile long paved walking trail, basketball court and two small playgrounds. The city also has a public swimming pool located next to the Civic Center. For more recreation and entertainment the city has its Benedum Civic Center. This facility is equipped with the conference & visitor center, multipurpose meeting rooms, auditorium with stage and kitchen facilities. Surrounding the center are a picnic area, lighted tennis courts, swimming pool, two sand volleyball courts and a lighted basketball court. Two old bridges in this city are worth visiting. The Bowstring Bridge, which National Register of Historic Places, has been renovated and is now a walkway connecting two recreational areas. The Simpson Creek Covered Bridge, built at the beginning of the 1880's and washed out at the end of the 1880's, now sits at County Road 24/2 at the Junction of Road 24.
