The Chenango and Unadilla rivers run through a very irregular surface and this hilly land of Guilford is as gorgeous as any landscape from a fairy tale book. Ezekiel Wheeler worked very hard to settle down on this land and brought his family 5 years after his arrival; the family name was much respected and recognized in this town, his farm was passed from one generation after the next one. It's relevant to mention that the first settlements took place about 10 years before the Wheeler family arrival.
