Sherburne was created from the Town of Paris back on the late 1700's, almost at the same time as the first settlements took place. The Chenango Canal passes through the town along the valley of the River, the rich water sources provided the nest for the admirable trees spread all over this town; ash, elm, basswood, maple and oak are some of the stunning God's creations.
