About the area

Tukwila is located less then 10 minutes from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. It sits at the crossroads of two major interstate highways, I-5 and I-405. Because of its location; Tukwila is a booming metropolis with approximately 2,000 businesses. The Duwamish Indians were the earliest people in Tukwila. The rich soil of the Duwamish River Valley soon attracted settlers who arrived by by boat and wagon. Tukwila's became a center of commerce because of its location at the crossroads of rivers, trails, highways and railroads. The construction of electric rail trains provided connections to Renton, Seattle and Tacoma.
