About the area
The town gets it's name from Alexander White, an early settler in the region. The White Township Consolidated School serves students from kindergarten through the eight grade. White Township students attend the Belvidere High School for grades nine and up. The towns is proud of it's local history and has many historic homes dating back to the early 1700s. It is believed that "The White House" in this township was built by Alexander White in mid 1700s.
