| About the area |
Beautiful small town with interesting history. Captain Benjamin Pike founded the town in 1790. Here there was a blacksmith, a glass maker, and several other businesses. As the town grew churches were built and a saw mill. The town made the timber industry part of their main economy. Today the area has a good population and many people commute to work. This rural area is known to many families and has a great community.
