Vernon is town with a small population. The 5,000 people that live here commute to work to factories or farms in the area. It is a close knit community with civic groups and churches that townspeople are involved with. The area has farms that grow corn and also dairy farms are popular. Most people only make about 30,000 dollars a year here, maybe less, but the cost of living is a bit lower than average ... because there is not much to do. The happier locals disagree.
