The warm and friendly borough of Closter has a Recreation Commission which has been sponsoring the Recreation Club for nearly 6 decades now. The Club organizes many events for the town residents every year. There are special events for kids and elderly people. Kids can choose between singing, dancing, sports, reading stories or playing computer games ! For senior citizens, there are group walks, get-togethers, display-your-skill type sessions and the humor round. There are special events during Easter, Halloween and Christmas. And there is a special Thanksgiving event a week before Thanksgiving where everyone brings in a little something. It's a nice finger-licking Thanksgiving meal with music and games.
