With a population of over 14,500, the borough of Ramsey is a close-knit and caring community. There are two New Jersey Transit stations in Ramsey. Ramsey is one of the most quiet yet most energetic communities in the entire country. Though largely residential, this borough has been put on the national map because of the presence of corporate firms like Konica Minolta, a Japanese worldwide manufacturer of optical gadgets and parts, which has its US Headquarters here. Ramsey also has an active History Preservation Club. Ramsey's oldest building, 'The Old Stone House' is a house that was built in early 1700s and is open to public. The Police Department is known to be one of the very best, and so are the schools. Truly, Ramsey is an ideal community to live or visit for one and all. Route 17 runs along the edge of town, and I-287 is nearby.
